stunning city of london wedding at the ned

the best wedding venue in London - the Ned

Yolanda and Mitch’s London wedding was a stunning celebration, filled with love and.. some good fashion choices (which made me miss dinner parties a lot!) Let me start with saying: Wow, The Ned! What a gorgeous venue. The old disused Midland bank building turned into a 5star hotel, in the middle of it all, with St.Paul’s Cathedral views. The black tie wedding reception was a Hollywood movie (if Hollywood was in the city of London) - think wavy hair, red lipstick and champagne flutes. I literally couldn’t stop photographing it. I love places that look like they could easily be a movie set for a good, old James Bond movie (not that I’m a big fan of Bond movies, I much prefer Soldier, Tinker, Sailor, Spy kind of movie, when we think spies!), my cinematic eye is happy and even my wrists don’t hurt after 10 hours of holding a camera :-)

But, anyway, let’s go back to beautiful Yolanda and her handsome Mitch (don’t they look like movie stars themselves?)

There is something fundamentally unique about the energy of a wedding day. The joy, the gathering of family and friends, all there to celebrate and witness the love of two people who on that day promise each other the life together. The job of a wedding photographer is easy when the couple oozes with love and the frame for it all is the most stylish London wedding venue - The Ned. Everything there is a statement of style - the interiors, the whole building, the surroundings of City of London - st. Pauls’s Cathedral, the Bank of England, the whole London skyline that you can appreciate while drinking champagne on one of Ned’s terraces. There is also this special thing about the city during the weekend - it’s almost deserted so I can take you for a walk and capture you on your wedding day walking the most beautiful streets in England. Let’s see some photos?

As you can see - the Ned is at the heart and soul of London.

As an award winning London wedding photographer I get to capture weddings at some of the most amazing London wedding venues and The Ned is one of those top places. Let’s have a chat, if you are thinking of having a wedding in London - I would be happy to not only talk photography, but also share my experience shooting hundreds of elegant London weddings!

The Ned is not only stylish but very luxurious fit for any special occasion. Built in 1924 it is Grade I listed and maintains all of its original 1920’s style and charm. Of course, it’s not only a unique wedding venue - it’s also a place to eat, drink and enjoy an intimate jazz concert, or two, all year around. I just love it! (also - let me assure you - the Ned is not only beautiful in the summer, as seen here. It’s also just the best location for you winter wedding ceremony and reception!)

So, as you can see, the Ned is just a perfect wedding venue when it comes to the Bride preparations - the stunning rooms all have the effortless elegance air and the feeling that you have the whole hotel to yourself is just what you need on your special day. Large domed windows and impressive draped four-poster king sized bed and lots of period features make such a stylish and romantic setting. When a Bride is getting ready in a room at the Ned, I know the pictures will be cinematic and just perfect.
