Lambeth Town Hall weddings

Hello engaged people, today I’m coming to you with this South London gem that is a Lambeth Town Hall. Don’t be fooled by its location - Brixton can be grim, but it’s also full of joy, colours and it has two amazing wedding venues - Lambeth Town Hall and 100 Barrington. I’m myself a South London photographer, so Lambeth Town Hall is close to my heart (it’s also where I registered my daughter when she was born, so you can understand how much I love it).

It has been opened in 1908 (yes! it’s also a grade II listed building, it’s really gorgeous) and inside it has a number of different rooms to choose for your wedding ceremony - they can fit from 10 to 300 people!

The most impressive room is a Council Chamber, with original 1908 features - it’s grand, it’s elegant and super bright too (which is very important from the photographer’s perspective)

Here’s a few wedding photos from the Council Chamber

Isn’t it stunning?

I had the best time photographing Linzi and Loki’s wedding at the Lambeth Town Hall’s Council Chamber. Linzi was wearing a stunning Self Portrait bridal dress and the room was filled with loving family and friends, including two cheeky kiddos (well, one toddler and one baby. The baby couldn’t wait for the parents to get married and wanted to be held immediately after their first kiss! super cute) After the incredibly emotional ceremony, friends and family gathered for group shots in the courtyard followed by a fabulous walkabout through Brixton, taking in the famous alleyways, street art and sights for the couple portraits. We headed to the arches, where 100 Barrington is located. Wanna see some photos from 100 Barrington?

But let’s circle back to the Lambeth Town Hall, after all this post is dedicated to it! I shot a few intimate ceremonies here and let me assure you - this venue is perfect for those! It has tiny rooms too and a lovely courtyard, where you can go after the ceremony to take some family group shots. And then - head to Brixton for some couple portrait session and of course - drinks! Let’s have a look at Leanne and Michaelo intimate Brixton wedding.

Leanne and Michaelo have literally danced through their confetti tunnel, it was so much fun!
