Capturing Timeless Elegance: A Black Tie Wedding at The Ned Hotel, London

A world where sophistication meets urban grandeur—a realm where modern architecture meets with timeless elegance. Let me take you to The Ned Hotel in the heart of London, where a very special black tie wedding of Sophie and Ben happened in the spring, leaving unforgettable memories that will be cherished for a lifetime (and that is ALWAYS my aim, when photographing a wedding). As a local London wedding photographer, I’ve been and shot at the Ned many times and I’m always happy when I receive an enquire from the couple wanting to get married at this unique place. Let’s start with a few photos from the wedding morning - the getting ready moments and move to the ceremony in the gorgeous Tapestry Room, couple portraits on the terrace and a secret spiral staircase before some reception photos from the Salon. Head to the bottom for some more info on the Ned and me, your humble London wedding photographer :-)

So - what do you think? Dreamy, isn’t it?? I would recommend the Ned to every couple who wants something uniquely timeless and modern, very London, very black tie and very editorial.

The Ned is a paradigm of opulence, nestled amidst the vibrant streets of the City, it’s architecture and interiors immidiety recognisable, yet somehow hidden, like an oasis in the business of the business quarter. Do you know that it was, once a grand banking hall, before being artfully transformed into a haven of luxury and style, making it an unparalleled choice for hosting wedding celebrations. With its soaring ceilings, amazing crystal chandeliers, and ornate detailing, The Ned creates an ambiance that is both palatial and intimate—a testament to the merging of past grandeur with contemporary allure. And I’m not exgaggerating even a bit! If you haven’t visited the Ned - I urge you to go for a cocktail and a jazz concert, you won’t regret.

Editorial wedding photography at the Ned

Ok, but why editorial wedding photographer? Let me start by explaining what it actually means. Or what it’s NOT. It’s not traditional, it’s not posy. It’s at its heart documentary (which not many people realise!) Editorial wedding photographer merges documentary approach with her artistic vision and editorial style, using storytelling techniques to capture your day in a relaxed, unobtrusive manner with a filter of visual poetry. Attention to detail, movement, in-between-moments are all parts of my mindset during the wedding day.

In the context of a black tie wedding at The Ned, editorial photography becomes the perfect medium to capture the fusion of timeless elegance and cosmopolitan, urban flair. The juxtaposition of the bride's Jesus Peiro gown against the backdrop of the hotel's regal architecture creates a striking visual contrast, highlighting the couple's commitment to blending tradition with modernity. The design of the event - decadent florals, candles, jazz band, the interplay of light and shadow, are all included in the story presented in the final gallery. And I really hope you enjoyed the few photos I’m sharing here. IF you’d like to chat about your London wedding, you can contact me here.
