best London wedding venues part two (the ned)

Hiya! Today’s blog post is for those of you who are planning to get married in London (which, by the way, is a great plan, as London is an amazing wedding location - for an intimate elopement but also for a big, fat, luxe wedding) I’ve been living in London for the last ekhm ekhm 20 years (what?! ) and photographed many, many amazing weddings here. I’m going to write a separate post about London pub weddings and best London Town halls (oh don’t get me started on some of these Art Deco beauties) but today - three of my absolute favourites in the London city wedding venue game. Can you guess which one is this awesome venue?

You guessed right! It’s the Ned!

Ok, let’s start with the Ned then. Located in the heart of the city of London, between the steel and glass towers and 17th-century spires, it offers access to six Grade I-listed rooms, two terraces and Princes Dome. This historic building, designed by Sir Edwin ‘Ned’ Lutyens a century ago, has been carefully restored by the designers from Soho House & Co. The rooms retain many original period features, including walnut panelling and vintage chandeliers, as well as ample arched windows to allow for plenty of natural light. Let’s have a look:

Doesn’t it look just spectacular?

The Ned’s wedding brochure says: “Looking out over the City of London and St Paul’s Cathedral, our two large terraces have a secluded feel, offering privacy with a dramatic view. Both are ideal for pre-dinner drinks in conjunction with our larger event spaces, or for a stand-alone party. For those seeking to eat al fresco, the terraces can accommodate up to 26 people each, for lunches and dinners catered for by our bespoke events kitchen.”

The views from these terraces are just one of the best views in London! If you want to see more photos from this particular Ned wedding, head to my other blog post: elegant London wedding at the Ned

Another fabulous London wedding venue is the famous Rosewood Hotel, located in Holborn.

It has all the elegance, charm and the vibe of an old, decadent London. I just love it! For more info and more photos, head here: The Rosewood London wedding

So here we go - I introduced you to two of my favourite London wedding venues. But please don’t stop here! This city is literally filled with fantastic hotels, town halls, quirky bars and pubs - all ready to welcome you and your wedding guests.

Look through my website and blog to see other examples (next week I’m shooting an engagement party at the Sky Gardens, I will report back, as I’m sure it’s going to be just magnificent.) And remember - if you have any questions about any London wedding venue - do give me a shout - I probably shot most of them and if I haven’t - I will :-)

Sending you love and peace,

Marta (your London wedding photographer)
