fashion forward London wedding - Mel and Tom

Mel gets ready at the ned

Oh, I’ve got something delicious for you today - Mel and Tom are the coolest London couple, you’ll see what I mean when you see the photos. Feel free to scroll down. But if you want the whole wedding journey, let’s start at getting ready at the legendary London hotel - The Ned. I’ve shot many weddings at The Ned and at this point if feels like home to me - the relaxed, but oh-so-chic design, the timelessness and cocktails. It has it all. And the spa. And the views of London’s best streets. But I digress. Mel spend her wedding morning with her best friends and her mum, they drank champagne, laughed (a lot!) and hugged each other. It was perfect.

Eva Lendel wedding dress

How stunning is this gown? Eva Lender bride is a modern woman, fashion conscious and contemporary. A modern romantic. Mel’s dress has a structure, a flow, it’s modern and sophisticated and the off-shoulder design gives it a timeless look. Absolute perfection!

Ironmongers Hall ceremony

In the heart of the city, next to the Barbican Center there is Ironmongers Hall - a historical venue (dating back to XII century!)

Built in the 1920s, this Tudor-style Hall feels like a country house re-located in the heart of the City of London and it’s a wonderful canvas for a large wedding ceremony. It’s grand and magnificent and I always wanted to photograph a wedding there!

the city of London wedding - architecture edition

I love London weddings, I love that they’re always so fashion oriented and chic. I love that I can just take a cab to get to the venue and that I know all the secret spots for a couple session. With Tom and Mel we went for a walk towards St Paul’s Cathedral. It’s very touristy and crowded, but there are some small streets that the tourists don’t go and there are ways to make the epic architectural shots without being shouted at by the guards :-) Just trust your photographer!

I always take architecture into consideration when choosing locations for portraits. In London, I’m spoilt for choice.

and then the party and all the bride and groom’s dance moves

There’s nothing to add, except - below is your answer why I always stay to photograph the party after the first dance :-)
