The Best London Wedding Venues (for 2022)
So finally THE WEDDINGS ARE BACK!! We can dive straight in and start planning. I’m so excited that I get to photograph weddings again, I honestly missed it!! I tell myself not to get overexcited and stick to London in my imagination. Take it slowly and plan local. Micro city weddings will continue to be a thing, I’m sure of that and a lot of couples are rethinking their plans - maybe less guests, maybe more freedom from tradition. Maybe an elopement?
Whatever you’re thinking of and however many people you want to witness your union, here are some wedding venues ideas - all of them are amazing and a few of them still have slots for the summer 2021 and 2022. Ok, let’s dig in! Your London wedding planning made easier:
THE BARBICAN CENTRE
I’m gonna start with the dreamiest of all dream venues. I mean - the Barbican is the ultimate wedding venue! It’s beautiful, it’s ubercool, it’s famous, it’s just the one and only.

The Barbican Center -there’s nothing like an indoor rainforest to make your day absolutely unforgettable.
There is a minimum guest requirement of 150 for packages and there is a Garden Room available that can seat up to 220 guests.
Not only does this venue feature a tropical oasis but phenomenal views of the city skyline as well, along with exotic fish and lush flora.
Wedding breakfast and catering designed and prepared by Searcys, yum!!
KEW GARDENS
Kew Gardens is not your typical garden wedding, it’s a world-renowned World Heritage Site that is one of the only botanical wedding venues in London. The classic architecture of Victorian Glasshouses paired with 500 acres of beautiful greenery and flourishing gardens is most definitely a sight to behold!
Guests can reach your botanical paradise venue in a quick 30 minute trip from central London.
If you are a nature lover, you will be happy to know that funds are used to support their vital plant conservation and scientific research.
They offer a variety of venues for between 10 and 400 guests, as well as, overnight accommodation.
THE ZETTER TOWNHOUSE
This 13-bedroom Georgian townhouse is an absolute eccentric delight! The two unique hotels at each end of London are a fabulous amalgamation of history and idiosyncratic perks. Perfect as a gorgeous backdrop for a wedding with a unique twist.
There are two different venues but, Marylebone is the venue ideal for weddings situated in the heart of the historic Clerkenwell on Seymour Street in East Central London.
There is a range of rooms available for hire from a Dining Room to a Games Room.
You can opt for exclusive use available for up to 120 guests with overnight accommodation available for those that are out of time.

SUNBEAM STUDIOS
Sunbeam Studios is a distinct blend of Grand Edwardian grace and modern minimalism. A stone throws away from London’s famous Notting Hill, this is the ideal venue for a couple who has got something creative up their sleeve!
The opulent architecture and professional-grade lighting make this one-of-a-kind building an inspiring location.
Their inclusive packages offer great value for money and a bespoke fine dining menu that is to die for!
This venue is spacious enough for large seated receptions and long guest lists.
POP BOX
Thinking of having your wedding in an upcycled ship container? If that’s not something you’ve considered yet, you might want to because this space is super cool! Set in the heart of Pop Brixton, Pop Box is an unconventional and trendy warehouse that oozes style.
Pop Box is known as Brixton’s biggest venue space that can be utilised as an indoor or outdoor venue.
External catering and alcohol permitted and there is a seated capacity of 80 people or 200 standing.
There is also a fully fitted kitchen available to do self-catering
SYON PARK
Syon Park is an exquisite walled garden venue featuring 200 acres of lush parkland set on the bank of River Thames. Adorned with swaying palm trees and vibrant flowers, a romantic atmosphere is guaranteed at this elegant location.
The idyllic setting is perfect for exclusive weddings with a fairy-tale setting
Can be hired for evening reception alone.
They don’t offer morning or daytime ceremonies so this one is suitable for a late afternoon or evening wedding.
There are three venues to choose from: Majestic Great Hall (120 guests), State Dining Room (50 guests), Great Conservatory (50 and 160 guests), The Walled Garden Marquee (larger parties of 200 to 600 seated guests)
DARTMOUTH HOUSE
Right in the heart of Mayfair is a grand mansion featuring elegant interiors, a splendid marble staircase and a private open-air courtyard that is ornate and quintessential.
Elegant white-columned rooms with mahogany finishes that cater for up to 150 people seated or 450 standing.
There are a variety of spaces available that portray exceptional attention to detail and can accommodate different sized weddings.
All-inclusive packages available and overnight accommodation is available.

THE NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM
Take a trip to another time on your special day by hosting your wedding at one of London’s most iconic venues. Each room has a uniquely magical atmosphere that is steeped in history and bursting with character!
The museum is one of London’s most classic landmarks known for spectacular weddings hosted in unbelievable settings.
There are 12 striking and unique galleries available to choose from for both ceremonies and receptions including the Hintze Hall which can seat up to 450 guests, other rooms range in capacity.
A plus is there is plenty of car parking available and the Darwin centre courtyard is ideal for outdoor summer ceremonies!
106 PALL MALL
Established in the 19th century and set in South West London, 106 Pall Mall is one of London’s many prestigious and luxurious venues featuring magnificent sweeping staircase and elegant chandeliers.
This stunning Venetian-style members club is surrounded by pristine Carlton Gardens and presents multiple spaces available to hire.
There is a large capacity that allows for up to 1,500 standing and from 50 to 250 seated.
Overnight accommodation is available and they offer a marquee if needed.
SPRING RESTAURANT
Welcome to my favourite restaurant! (even if you don’t end up getting hitched in here, you must at least have dinner.. once they’re open again!)
Located in the institution of Somerset House, Spring Restaurant is a restored 19th-century drawing room that now serves as a picturesque space with high ceilings and lots of light.
Ideal space for a relaxed atmosphere enhanced with an elegant and charming setting.
The venue offers catering for smaller weddings of up to 36 guests in their Garden and larger weddings up to 116 guests in the Main Dining Room.
They take great pride in carefully crafted meals that are made to go straight to the heart.
THE FOUNDLING MUSEUM
Situated in Bloomsbury, central London, this museum is a Georgian-style oasis from the city. The elegant and intricate details create a classically romantic setting.
The historic 18th-century interiors are tastefully paired with an artistic flair and complemented by elegant high windows and antique finishes.
The venue is suitable for both small and large weddings, with four rooms available to seat 40-100 guests or 250 in the whole museum.
THE REFINERY, BANKSIDE
Located in the iconic Blue Fin building, the retro-chic vintage flair in this space is intriguingly complemented by a quirky and contemporary industrial setting.
Just around the corner from River Thames and Tate Modern, you will find this restaurant displaying a sophisticated jazz atmosphere with an impressive organic menu.
The restaurant has a capacity of 200 seated guests and 550 standing.
There is complimentary food and drink tastings to decide on the menu, yum!
THE LIBRARY AT THE CHESTERFIELD MAYFAIR
Indulge in the rich oak and mahogany décor this classic charming venue has to offer. The traditional comfort and great hospitality make this a faithful option to rely on.
This venue offers complimentary room hire for the ceremony if the venue has been hired for the reception. There is an elegant Bridal Suite that is also included at no extra cost if the venue is hired for the reception (T&C: minimum of 50 guests attending)
There are two rooms available, The Library accommodates up to 30 people, and The Royal Suite accommodates up to 100 people.
There is accommodation available for guests and a halal catering option can be requested too.
SMITHS OF SMITHFIELD
This modern British dining room opens onto a terrace with gorgeous panoramic views of London’s iconic landmarks. The four-storey building can be found in the heart of the city featuring a trendy and airy atmosphere.
This venue is known for their culinary experience and they offer to handle all aspects of wedding planning.
There is a sommelier at your service and their midnight curfew is negotiable.
There are three different spaces including Death and Victory Cocktail Bar: 80 Standing (or perfect for a smaller intimate reception for up to 40 seated), The Grill Restaurant: 130 Seated or 250 Standing, and the Restaurant Terrace: 100 Seated for the Wedding Ceremony, 80 Seated for a Reception or 200 Standing.
It is also possible to hire more than one flour for up to 600 standing guests for larger weddings.
CINNAMON KITCHEN
A unique and stunning venue that exhibits modern yet classic interiors with a beautiful upper terrace overlooking Devonshire Square.
This award-winning Indian restaurant is known for bold flavours and feasts, and can accommodate anywhere from 16 to 250 guests.
There is a glass canape that can be used on the terrace making this venue perfect for all weather. Otherwise, additional spaces equally as nice are available to choose from.
Venue hire includes a 3-course meal and superb restaurant service but just note that no smoking is permitted on the terrace.
SKYLON
Located on the iconic Royal Festival Hall, Skylon is ideal for a sophisticated atmosphere. The refined space pairs modern characteristics with a beautiful view of River Thames and the London Skyline.
Enjoy gorgeous aesthetics of copper chandeliers and floor to ceiling windows that make this the perfect spot for a stylish couple after urban-sophistication.
The venue offers decor to photography and the space can accommodate 60 to 500 guests.
Menus can be designed to tailor couples wishes but note that they don’t offer wedding cakes.
THE IVY CHELSEA GARDEN
For fine-dining cuisine in a lavish and idiosyncratic setting, consider this glamorous space. Elegantly suited for intimate weddings that would like a vintage botanical flair.
The vibrant floral artwork and rich palette of colours is a gorgeous backdrop for a unique gathering.
There is one long table that can seat 30 or 24 on three round tables of 8.
The reception has capacity for 50 people and custom menu options accompanied with attention-to-detail service can be expected.
REFETTORIO AT ST CUTHBERT’S
Located in South West London, this unusual and characteristic venue is a quick 5-minute walk from Earl’s Court Station.
The space greets you with a warm and welcoming atmosphere and you’ll be happy to know that venue fees are put towards their community dining project and driving charity.
You can source own suppliers or they will cater for everything and the venue can accommodate 60-80 guests seated.
They have a BYOB policy but temporary licenses can be arranged if needed.
THE PRINCE ALBERT
Think pub meets palace for this quaint South London venue that features refined interiors with a rustic feel and trendy twist.
This spot has a pleasant and traditional charm to it that will make you feel right at home.
It can accommodate up to 80 guests standing and 50 seated.
They have an impressively large wine selection for those who love their fermented grapes!
THE BULL & GATE
This Victorian-styled pub is positioned in a trendy part of London and presents you with a cosy ambience perfect for a private wedding.
The dining room can seat up to 80 guests and the Boulogne room can seat up to 35 for something more intimate.
There is a private cocktail bar upstairs that can be utilised if needed.
Huge bonus- pets are welcome at this venue!

BURGH HOUSE & HAMPSTEAD MUSEUM
Built in the 1700s, this quaint historic house is located a stone throw away from Heath and is the perfect mix of country charm with a city atmosphere.
They have the capacity to cater for a simple champagne reception or something more extravagant.
For bookings that are hosting less than 20 guests, a minimum 3-hour booking is required.
The space can accommodate up to 70 guests.
CAMBERWELL ARMS
The minimalistic and contemporary interiors set at one of the finest culinary destinations south of the river offers an open, light-filled and airy upstairs dining room overlooking iconic Church Street.
Up to 30 guests seated and 60 standing can be accommodated.
They offer bespoke feasting menus along with buffet options.
Great spot for a good party since they are legally licensed to dance the night away until 2am!

If you’re planning to have your wedding on the other side of the Thames, there’s quite a diverse array of venues to choose from, whether it’s something intimate or outdoors you’re looking for! Here are the top wedding venues you should check out in South London.
DEVONPORT HOUSE WEDDINGS
This Georgian red-brick house paired with tall white columns and an elegant aura is located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a stunning lawn available for summer receptions.
It’s only a short 20-minute travel from central London and a 5-minute stroll from Greenwich station.
There are a number of wedding spaces on offer from the oak-panelled Churchill Room to the contemporary Westminster Suite.
Comfortable accommodation is available for guests who would like to stay the night.
THE ORATORY

This stunning industrial warehouse located near the Congestion Charge zone, only a 10-minute walk from London Bridge.
There is on-site parking for up to 18 cars and 4 main indoor spaces along with 2 outdoor spaces that can be hired separately or all together.
They only take bookings 3 months in advance or less and they can accommodate up to 500 guests standing.
Not one for the late-nighters since the event is required to wrap-up by 10:30pm on weekends and 10pm during the week.
ADDINGTON PALACE
The elegant Georgian architecture of this palace has a fresh, modern uplift and was the historical site of Henry VIII’s hunting grounds once upon a time!
There are two beautiful venues to choose from: The Main House & The Royal Pavilion.
The best part about this breathtaking destination is that it makes you feel miles away from London
There are 163 acres of pristine grounds offered as a spacious car park for your guests and there are luxury self-catering cottages available for accommodation
The Great Hall accommodates up to 200 for a ceremony and 150 seated and The Royal Pavilion can cater for up to 650 guests
OXO2
